We are what we eat
Tír Na nÓg has a busy team of qualified and experienced cooks in the kitchen. Our meat is delivered daily from the local family butcher in his refrigerated containers. Fruit and vegetables come daily from the green grocers. Our menus vary daily based on a 3-weekly plan. Home cooked snacks and treats include home made breads and scones. Fresh fruit and vegetables are served daily. Lunch and dinner are cooked fresh daily and served to our deserving diners. Babies and younger children are served pureed or mashed varies of the daily diet as their age requires. Food is served in a creative tasty way, children are encouraged to self feed in a relaxed social environment. Special diets are available to children with allergies and a healthy alternative will always be found for even the most limited little palette! The HSE regularly inspects our kitchen and the pre-school officer has approved our menus.
