Our after school club is available from 7.30am to 8.45am for Breakfast Club and from 1.30pm to 6.30pm for After School Care.
During school holidays and in-service days our school age children can avail of full time care from 7.30am to 6.30 pm.
Most school bus companies collect the children from ouside the creche door, or staff accompany the children to the bus stop on the main road. Parents make their own arrangements with the bus company and Tír na nÓg staff ensure that the children get safely on the school bus and arrive back safely after school to us.
The Den
We have a dedicated After school unit known as “the Den” where children can enjoy lots of fun after school activities. Children are given a hot dinner after school cooked freshly by our kitchen staff and homework is supervised in our homework room. Our school-age children can enjoy such activities as , Drama, arts and crafts, baking, we have a huge outdoor play area which has just been revamped to include an all weather pitch and gardening area and much more.
Home cooked snacks and Tea are served daily and although the older children do have a dedicated outdoor play area we do ensure that school age children can mix with and visit younger siblings easily. Tír na nÓg has a policy of no Television for any age group.
We also facilitate bringing children to swimming lessons at Gym Plus Leisure Centre. Please note however that the cost of swimming lessons will be borne by parents.
